In Indore, Madhya Pradesh, a food delivery agent was stopped by members of a right-wing group on Christmas Day 2024 for wearing a Santa Claus costume while delivering food. The Zomato delivery agent – as seen in the viral video – was en route to complete an order when the group confronted him. The interaction, which was captured on video, has gained attention on social media. The video shows the delivery agent sitting on his bike, dressed in a Santa Claus costume when a man begins questioning him about his attire.
A man asks the delivery agent whether he ever delivers food dressed as Lord Ram during Hindu festivals such as Diwali. In response, the delivery agent explained that his company instructed him to wear the costume as part of a promotional activity like taking a selfie while delivering the order. Despite his explanation, he was instructed to remove the costume.
