BrainSightAI Secures $5 Million to Revolutionize the Future of Neuroscience
In a stride towards reshaping the future of brain care, BrainSightAI, a promising neuroscience startup, has raised $5 million in its Pre-Series A funding round. The investment, led by IAN Alpha Fund with support from IvyCap Ventures, Silver Needle, and returning backers, reflects growing confidence in the company’s mission to revolutionize the way brain disorders are diagnosed and treated.
Founded in 2019 by Laina Emmanuel and Dr. Rimjhim Agrawal, BrainSightAI stands out for its deep-tech approach to brain research. At the heart of the company’s innovation is VoxelBox, a proprietary platform that maps neural connections in the brain using advanced principles of connectomics. This technology not only deciphers complex brain networks but also empowers healthcare providers to tackle neuro-oncological and neuropsychiatric conditions with remarkable precision.
Currently working alongside over 40 hospitals across India, BrainSightAI’s efforts are primarily focused on neurosurgery and radiology departments, particularly in the treatment of brain tumors. The startup’s collaborative model has positioned it as a key player in India’s growing health-tech ecosystem.
BrainSightAI Raises Fresh Funds
With fresh funding in hand, the company is gearing up to expand its capabilities. Moving beyond tumor-related applications, BrainSightAI aims to address neurological and psychiatric disorders, offering a more holistic approach to brain health. Its expansion plan includes bolstering its presence in Tier 1 cities and tapping into Tier 2 regions, where access to advanced healthcare remains limited.
On the global front, BrainSightAI is preparing to break new ground. FDA certification is a top priority, setting the stage for entry into the United States and other international markets. The company is also exploring distributor-driven opportunities in Africa and Southeast Asia, regions where innovative healthcare solutions are in high demand.

Part of the investment will fuel research and development initiatives, including an innovative app designed for caregivers. This platform will provide families of patients with brain disorders valuable resources to support their loved ones, underscoring BrainSightAI’s commitment to holistic care.
“We are very excited by the potential of connectomics to advance personalised brain care for patients and I believe in the long run, for everybody. We are excited to bring on board such stellar investors who believe in our mission, and will help us build for the world from India,” Laina Emmanuel, Co-founder & CEO of BrainSightAI.
